Commissioner Sanders Talks More Trash
The leader of the Natural Born Thrillers, Mike Sanders, joined WCW's Live's Bob Ryder and
Jeremy Borash, Dec. 26.
Sanders said the Natural Born Thrillers are the new school of wrestling. To them, Sanders
said, this business is not about jet-flying, limo-riding and Rolex-wearing. He said the new year
will be even better than the previous, and predicted his faction will rule WCW in the new year.
Jeremy Borash asked Mike about taking a break from the wrestling business earlier this year.
Sanders said Paul Orndorff had a hand in getting him fired. Orndorff told Sanders he didn't
have the right look, and he should put on about 20 pounds. Mike said the industry is no longer built on strictly wrestling. Now, it's
about entertainment. Wrestlers must be able to entertain the fans by using the mic.
Sanders talked about the perks of being "famous." Mike said, though he doesn't get recognized as frequently as Sting or
Goldberg might, he still gets recognized. He claimed he went shopping for a PlayStation 2 for his son over the holidays. Even
though the store had run out, the clerks let him have one they were holding for someone else. According to Mike, they sold the
PS2 to him, and told him how much they loved the Thrillers.
