Topic: Shawn O'Haire the next Bill Goldberg!

I know this seems like a bold prediction but I really think O'Haire has all the tools to be the next Bill Goldberg.
Lets look at the reasons why I think this;
* Both have a incredible strength, physique and look about them.
* Both have an array of moves and devestating finishers that the crowd can recognise.
* If you notice the new start to Nitro, O'Haire has replaced Goldberg doing the "roar" meaning that WCW management is also high on him.
* He's been in WCW less than a year and is already a multi-time tag champ.
* O'Haire even with his size can be a high Flyer, which even Goldberg cannot do.
I think if built up correctly, a O'Haire - Goldberg fued could be money... That's if WCW decides to have trust in O'Haire. WCW should build O'Haire up by giving him wins over the veterans like DDP, Nash, Sting and Hogan. That would instantly make him a player without really hurting the veterans at all.

I still think he needs another year before he is pushed as a serious singles wrestler. If they do it too soon they could ruin him....

That is not a bold prediction... he is Awesome...the next Goldberg for sure...u saw how the fans reacted on nitro when the Event Chuck Polumbo(spelling) and O'Haire tore the house down against Team Kanadia...he is the man...but his taunt/pose looks like somehting out of that Mortal Kombat game...

O'Haire is definitely an awesome talent that will one day, if use correctly, be on top of the wrestling talent pool. His physique is one of the best in the business and his agility is amazing for a man of his stature. He's even more agile than Mike Awesome who is constantly put over for his agility.

But I think O'Haire is a talent that should be marketed in his own unique way. Even though he has similarities to Bill Goldberg, it'd be stupid to pigeon-hole him as "the next Goldberg". We're already sick of Goldberg so why would WCW want to make another clone? O'Haire has all the tools to make it big on his own but his push needs to be done carefully in order to keep him fresh. Once his promo's start to improve and he has a solid gimmick to work on, he'll be unstoppable. But perfection takes time.

I can't see why everyones so big on him, he does like a reverse heel kick and a Dodgie Version of a Swanton, and that Clothesline with the little *Argh* thing after it. I was just watched that Tag team match and apart from that double team move that's the only thing I can remember of him doing except he didn't do the clothesline. His ring phsycology isn't great, his mic work is far from great and he just comes accross as a big of an egomaniac, I guess the fact he was like 6 months out of training when he was put on TV doesn't help.

Truly a Bold Statement there but you never no, but seriously why would anyone want to be the next Goldberg. He is a egotistical, talentless, whinging bastard. Who ended the career of the Legend Bret Hart. Palumbo, Ohaire and Jindrak are all still very very very green. You can tell by the way that they get lost during spots in the ring. Ohaire's move look so fake, his opponent has to fully oversell them to make them look slightly good.

Adios

O'Haire's look also has something to do with his fanbase. He has the "deranged serial killer" look down to a T. Since Nitro has been on Fox Sports, I have become a fan of O'Haire. The Senton (cheap plug, READ IT!)isn't that a big a move, it's basically a somersault and hope you dont break your neck.

In a sense I would be a lot happier if he was the US Champ by the end of the year whereas if he was in a main event role,

Glad theres others out there that like Sean O' Haire. I'm really starting to like the him. Sure he hasnt got the presence or whatever, but he's young, and to be honest I think for a guy that got thrown into the spotlight, he's done pretty well.

I wouuldnt like to see O' Haire become the next Goldberg though. I think he should be pushed without having the pressure of being the next whoever in wrestling. Similar I dont like the idea of trying to compare Jeff Hardy to Shawn Michaels.

Another of the Thrillers I like is Mike Sanders but thats for another post.

US Champ by the end of the year ??? Are you kidding ? He's got a hell of a long way to go before he even looks like deserving the US title, maybe if they bring back the TV title then he could wrestle for that but not the US Belt.

He should go down to NCW for a while (settle down G) and try and develop more of a character and mic skills. There's no much doubt about his atheletic abilities but he needs to develop a character, a decent finisher, I mean the guy should be a powerhouse not doing a sloppy looking Swanton and kicks.

Whats your problem Burt E? All I'm saying is that he is a fine talent. I didnt come out and say that he should contend for the World title next week. There's still a lot of work to be done, but there's a chance he could make it big. I dont think his Swanton is all that bad the times I've seen it.
